I disagree with all the 5 star reviews on this one. It had some funny scenes, yes, but they weren't that funny and there weren't really that many of them. Overall, this one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars for one thing that really bugged me.The story is mostly cute, if totally unrealistic. There are some moments where I really disliked both Leigh and Roman. I disliked that he didn't tell her things she needed to know, and I thought she was a little too odd for him to actually be attracted to her. I also felt like they really had nothing in common, and didn't believe they were really in love. They hurt each other too much for me to believe that.
The one scene that I really disliked, which caused me to reduce my rating from 3.5 stars down to 3 stars, is the one where Leigh gets caught with her friend's dog in a park. Dogs are not allowed in the park, so she proceeds to pull out a fake service dog vest and put it on the dog. That scene is so NOT funny -- it marginalizes people who actually need service animals, and seems to make fun of them. People need service animals for many reasons, and those animals can change their lives. That is NOT something that should be joked about, or faked.
I also really thought this book needed an epilogue a few years into the future. I had a difficult time believing that Leigh and Roman would actually be able to stay together, given all the problems their relationship had -- so I needed to know if they had actually found their HEA, or if it was just a HFN (happy for now).

The Frog Prince A Romantic Comedy edition by Elle Lothlorien Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
First, I don't care for books written in the present tense, to me they don't flow well, which is why 4 instead of 5 stars. That being said, I thought this book was VERY well written, laugh out loud funny and though I did say steady I found it did have some twists to it. I disagree with one reviewer who said that meeting with a publicist is not going to make a big enough impact to change her verbal responses, the character has 2 (two) master's degrees which implies her ability to learn and maintain that. Up to that point she had not been 'trained' in proper responses, had simply followed the advice of friends. I was surprised by the mother's reaction to her (pleasantly). The only thing I found truly irritating was that the 'prince' seemed so in touch with reality, emotions, his 'female' side if you will, that his treatment and inclusion of his ex was really not in keeping with that. As a matter of fact when she first appeared he was adamant about not being with her or dancing with her but obviously caved on that, ehh, I could go on but would give away too much of it. I am not planning on reading the other book that is told from his side and frankly don't understand why authors do that, I would have rather seen a sequel to follow up not on only them but other characters that you became interested in.
I like trying books by random authors. Lothlorien is a funny gal. Her Frog Prince gave me moments when I held my giggles because I was in public transport which ended up as a snort!
The frog prince has a cliche plot where an awkward girl falls for royalty. A lot of romance readers dig that plot, I know I do, especially funny romance novels like this one.
Given the cookie cutter plot, I have expected a bit more depth in the development of characters and interesting sub plots.
I felt like there were holes that needed plugging in the character development. Mikhail for one is an interesting character and I believe that his character had the potential to be a really more captivating.
There was a lead to an interesting sub plot it was sadly left hanging and dissipate into thin air. Like Mikhail, I'd like to know what Roman did to have Faisal practically at his disposal. We didn't even meet this host to an important event.
There were also a lot of open ended situations that were left hanging, It would have been nice to know whether the side romance of Isabella and Jason even flourished. What ever happened to the book that was started by Mikhail and Leigh?perhaps a short epilogue could have wrapped it all up nicely.
What irked me most are the typos and grammar slip-ups. This especially after knowing that there were editors who actually worked on this book. I believe they could have done a better job.
Despite all these issues I raised, I had fun reading this light book and is fervently hoping for a better one with the author's second book, Sleeping Beauty.
